Here we are supporting British Red Cross at the Pub Quiz for Humanity last Tuesday during the British Red Cross Week! We didn’t get first place, or second, not even third… but we had loads of fun and were very proud to help raise the money for such a good cause!
Check out our beautiful LOLA hostess Abbie at the Grosvenor House Hotel! As Abbie worked there at the Salon du Chocolat event, the ornaments on her dress were made of real chocolate! Our hostess Abbie had to walk onstage and show off the beautiful (and delicious!) dress to about 2000 guests! Didn’t she look amazing?
BIG congratulations to Raminta Rudzeviciute who is our LOLA employee of the month for April and to the ‘LOLA Star’ Tetyana Halutva!
Raminta has worked for LOLA since January 2011 and she did her 200th shift for LOLA last week!
BT, Pret A Manger and Deloitte are just a few organisations that have benefitted from Raminta’s great service. She’s worked at many fantastic London venues including St Pancras Renaissance Hotel, The Berkeley, Wembley Stadium, The Mermaid, Plaisterers’ Hall and many more.
Friends of Raminta who had the pleasure to work with her at over 200 events describe her as ‘always on her toes and taking initiative’ and ‘friendly and very eager’. Our LOLA supervisors say they are ‘always happy to see her name on a shift’.
Well done Raminta! A little something will be coming your way.
Also special mention to Tetyana Halutva who has been nominated as the ’LOLA Star’ this month and as a result we’re happy to offer a pay increase.
Tetyana is constantly brilliant, hardworking and very punctual. Her LOLA fellow-waiters say she’s great to work with due to her lovely personality.
Supervisors praise Tetyana for using her common sense and taking initiative when things get chaotic. Great job Tetyana!

Here is our promo staff leafleting for Spencer Hart at the opening of their pop up shop. The luxury menswear brand opened its shop at One New Exchange where 20% of the profits will be coming to the Dallaglio Foundation. 12 of the suits were signed exclusively by the foundation's founder and ex-England rugby player Lawrence Dallaglio. The launch event was attended by Spencer Hart founder, Nick Hart and a number of high profile guests. LOLA promotional staff looked gorgeous and did a great job attracting people to the newly opened store.
Take a look at the picture of the LOLA Directors winning the race and crossing the finish line together! Duncan and Dean took part in The Baton of Life 5K Fun Run on Wednesday 25th April in aid of Little Havens Children’s Hospice.
The event was held in memory of Andrew Corbett, a friend of Dean’s, who died last year as a result of an asthma induced heart attack, immediately after he completed the Brentwood Half Marathon.
The Baton of Life attracted hundreds of runners, joggers and walkers who were circling the world famous Serpentine in London's Hyde Park.
We are all very proud of Duncan and Dean winning the race and supporting Little Havens Children’s Hospice! Well done guys!
Check out the amazing pictures of our gorgeous hostesses at Café de Paris! 20 hostesses from LOLA worked in that dazzling club in the heart of London last Tuesday and from what we heard they had a great shift. Once they had their hair and make-up done, LOLA hostesses got to dress up in the fantastic circus themed costumes. Our girls looked absolutely stunning and did a great job making sure every guest would remember that awesome night at Café de Paris!
Take a look at the pictures of our promotional staff members working for the NHS at their ‘Choose well’ campaign. The event happened at The Exchange Mall in Ilford last Thursday . A pair of our promo staff were helping to raise the awareness of the danger and cost of the incorrect use of NHS emergency services for the treatment of minor illnesses and injuries. ‘A&E is for real emergencies’ – was the main message of the campaign.

LOLA Staffing was one of the proud sponsors of The Mermaid’s launch and the guests were served by our smiley catering staff. Everyone enjoyed the fantastic entertainment by a stand-up comedian Patrick Monahan and a ladder banging band - Slam. The food provided by Create Food & Party Design was great, dessert station being our favourite!

On 27th July, in exactly 100 days, the eyes of the world will be on London. The capital seems to be ready to welcome millions of guests from around the world – and so are we! With thousands of the event staff in our team (most of them accredited specifically to work at the Olympic venues), we can’t wait for the Games to begin. Building on the experience and capacity over the past few years, we were continuously having the record numbers of staff at the events year after year. But this year it won’t be our records that we will be most excited about. It will be the records broken by the greatest athletes that we’ll be thrilled to see. In the Summer 2012 we will take part in the greatest sports celebrations on Earth. We’ll be there in the centre of the action, enjoying the amazing atmosphere and the excitement of the Games. We will also be happy to make sure the event staff from LOLA adds a lot to the positive experience the visitors will take home from London. Come on London, together we can make the history!

Here we are: the LOLA office team in all our… glory (?) Don’t worry, it’s not what we look like every day, we actually consider ourselves as exceptionally attractive to be completely honest ;) The pictures you are laughing at are from the Concerto Group Conference 2012. We went to Newport, Wales for 2 days at the beginning of the month to meet all of LOLA’s sister companies from the Concerto Group and to hear what they are up to these days. The entire group is obviously excited about the Olympics and we were happy to see everyone in high spirits and ready to rule the events world this summer (like we always do!). We were pleased to see that it’s not only LOLA growing rapidly but the whole Concerto family gets bigger and bigger every year. And there’s no better way to get to know everyone than to P-Party together. P-Party (P for People, Performance and Partnership) was a great chance for fancy dress and become Pirates, Porcelain Dolls, Pencils, Punks, Pensioners, Parisians, Pantomime characters and.. Poor People for a night. Yes, P for Poor People, original huh? Now you can see that there are some good, fun reasons behind those embarrassing pictures. In fact we won the ‘Best Dressed Team’ award! It was not the only award we were proud to get that night, we were also announced ‘Best Team in a Supporting Role’ – YAY!
Big thanks to Mask Events for organising such a great conference this year. It was lovely to see everyone. We can’t wait for the next year’s conference already!
